When is the best time to go?
Malta has a classic Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. If you're keen to soak up the sun's rays, the summer months from June to August normally see the temperature reach somewhere between 25 and 32 degrees C. Visit in the spring or autumn and the climate will still be pleasantly warm, but a little cooler, with the average temperature around the low 20s.

Do you need a visa?
Malta is in the EU, so British citizens will just need their passport to enter.

Malta International is the nation's only airport and is well served with regular direct flights from across the UK. Due to the country's small size the airport is within easy reach of all major tourist destinations and has good public transport links. The flight to Malta takes between three and 3.5 hours.
